Sorting and Printing Photos

I am always amazed as to how much TIME it takes to upload, download, edit, sort, print, go pick up, label and store photos! I try to print out monthly the photos from the previous month, and organize in Creative Memories Memory Manager. Today I had to ship September and October photos to Costco. I organized the CDs from 2006, 2007 and 2008, but I still am faced with stacks and stacks of photos from April to August that need to have the date written on the back. I did manage to upload some photos that I had put on CD, but were not on the software. It could be a full time job!

Needless to say, I am further ahead then I was earlier today. Now I have to go pick the prints up and bring them home to add to my sort pile. ugh.

Countdown Continues

Just a few more days 'til Halloween! I am getting close to finishing up planning the 4th grade class party. Have a few things I want to make for my own kids.

I tried the gamosol method with my stamps this week! I found the rolled paper sticks - couldn't remember what they are called if my life depended on it - but they worked out great. I am looking forward to finishing up my Out West album.

Tonight should be interesting - Andrew has a school assignment and he needs a Republican party elephant to include on his poster. That is why I love my Cricut! One of the Cricut Message Board members - JenC - has a wonderful blog. She made an Republican elephant. Check out her site at http://jensbrainthings.blogspot.com/. Halloween Planning!!

Halloween is just in a few days and I have many projects that I have to finish! I want to make some treats for the neighborhood kids along with goodies for my own children! Thank goodness the costumes were done early this year. I spent the day today cleaning the house and scrapbook "studio." Now I just need to muster up the energy to work on the projects! Anyone who knows me well, knows that I hate to make lists and will only create them if I absolutely need it. Needless to say, I made a list today! Now I just have to decide what games to play, projects to do and make sure everyone has a great time at the school Halloween party!

Boo Sign and Squirrel Box

Today I made a wood BOO sign that I am going to have Benjamin put glow in the dark paint on. I'll have to post photos! I also worked on making a squirrel box in Cricut Design Studio - it is for a .cut file swap on the message board. I can't believe all the great ideas on the message board! It is inspiring!

Halloween is Around the Corner

I have been very busy making costumes for the kids. Benjamin's was easy this year and someone from Ben's work is getting him scrubs and a white coat so he can be a doctor. Madeline has decided to be a pirate and I am almost finished with her vest. Andrew is the one costume that kept me awake at night! (Every year there is always one!) He was determined to be King Tut! He and I worked on his costume almost all day on Saturday and it turned out awesome!!

I have also been spending a lot of time getting to know my Cricut. I have learned how to use Design Studio and am having so much fun with it!! I will have to post some of my creations.....

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Every year we have Mexican food on Cinco de Mayo. Once when the kids were little, we made a turtle pinata!
